Welcome Message from the Head Of School
A warm welcome to Maville Academy – an outstanding school in the heart of Nyali, Mombasa.
Maville Academy is a wonderful, multi-cultural school where children feel safe, happy and secure, and leave well-prepared for the next phase of their education. A vibrant school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve endless possibilities. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.
Our focus is always on the child; we do all in our power to discover how best each of our children learns and support each in becoming a confident and independent learner ready to take on the challenges ahead. Our pupils are at the heart of all that we do. We provide an exciting, broad and balanced curriculum to inspire and motivate our pupils with opportunities to promote independence, learn life-long skills and to have aspirations for the future.
We are proud to offer an interesting curriculum in all subject areas, making as many cross-curricular links as possible. I look at the school and marvel how far it has come since its inception in the year 2012, and its bright plans for the future. At its heart, we are a family and our strength comes from the close and positive relationships between our teachers and learners. We have high expectations. Academic achievement is important and our pupils do well – they demonstrate very positive attitudes to learning within a caring and nurturing environment.
We are very lucky to have an extremely dedicated and supportive staff who work very hard to provide the best opportunities for all our pupils in a safe and happy school environment. We aim to build the skills, knowledge and positive attitudes necessary to help all our learners become responsible, respectful and tolerant citizens of the future.
Please take the time to browse through our school website, where you will learn more about our values, policies and approaches. A visit to our school is always recommended as that is undoubtedly the best way to get a real flavour of our ethos and of course you will be able to observe our happy and enthusiastic learners as they go about their school day.
The early years are an exciting time for all children! The first few years of life are crucial as the children form bonds with those around them and begin exploring their world. They are growing and developing faster than they ever will in their lives. This time should be fun, special, full of awe and safe. Impressions made at their tender young years can last a lifetime. Children are guided to learn through play, creating a positive attitude towards learning and developing children’s abilities and talents.
Our facilities are beautiful and spacious with an outdoor shaded playground, grass area, sandpit and plenty of space to run, jump and play. Our staff is experienced, and builds warm trusting bonds with their students. If you want to give your child the best start to their education journey, we invite you to learn more about what makes Maville Kindergarten special.
At Maville we believe that no kid is unsmart and that every child is a genius at something. Our job is therefore to find that skill and nurture it.
